The residents of ROSS’ off-base military apartments are fortunate to live right outside of our nation’s capital. This is convenient for many reasons. Especially when it’s summertime and Independence Day rolls around. 4th of July is always a time characterized by fun, food, friends and plenty of red, white and blue; but celebrating our country’s birthday in our nation’s capital takes things up another notch.

Roam the exhibits at The National Museum of American History

National Independence Day Parade

“The Parade consists of invited bands, fife and drum corps, floats, military and specialty units, giant balloons, equestrian, drill teams, VIP’s, national dignitaries, and celebrity participants. The Parade is a major national event which seeks to draw the attention of Americans to the real meaning for the holiday.”
A Capitol Fourth Concert and Fireworks
July 4, 2017, gates open at 3 p.m. and the concert begins at 8 p.m.
The West Lawn of the U.S. Capitol
