Having trouble deciding what to watch? Take a look at these hits and see if one doesn’t fill the bill …

“Christopher Robin”

A childhood favorite gets a new face in this thoughtful remake. Christopher Robin grows up and faces the dilemmas of adulthood. Balancing family and work, being present and creating the life he desires, are all things our leading man struggles with. Luckily, his old friend Pooh arrives just in time to help him rediscover his inner child and make good. It’s a great movie for parents and kids alike, with an interesting premise and an achingly sweet ending.

In Theaters | PG| 1 hour 45 minutes

“Ready Player One”

This movie’s natural mix of reality and fantasy will be all too familiar to millennials and

Gen Z teens. It’s set in the near future, with resources tapped out and the world engrossed in the OASIS, an expansive virtual reality. Our noble protagonists battle it out for control of this virtual reality after the death of its creator, while corporations and political powers attempt to suppress a rebellion. A little romance, a lot of action and some big questions about the meaning of life make this movie incredibly engaging.

“The Spy Who Dumped Me”

This absolute thriller starring Mila Kunis and Kate McKinnon is the perfect movie for date night. Curl up on your Laurel apartment’s biggest, comfiest couch and watch the bullets fly!

Humor and adventure, friendship and romance are all perfectly matched in this popular film.

“Mamma Mia! Here We Go Again”

Although fans who fell in love with the original cast of “Mamma Mia” will be disappointed to find them off screen a lot of the time, this sequel stays true to the feeling and purpose of its original. Big dance scenes and great music are mainstays, as in the first film. For curious audience members who are more interested in each character’s past than their present, this movie is the one to see!

In Theaters | PG-13 | 2 hours

“Isle of Dogs”

This movie has surprisingly good reviews, given its quirky, intense style (courtesy of unique director Wes Anderson). It’s a political thriller, with sentient dogs, set in modern-day Japan, that’s viewed from the perspective of high school-aged children. Positively intriguing. The film thoroughly lives up to this expectation, making geopolitical commentary accessible to adults and entertaining for kids and teens.
