The economic downturn of 2007-2010 was incredibly challenging for real estate and put tremendous strain on joint venture partnerships. Prior to the downturn, I was an equity partner in 12 distinct acquisitions with the ROSS Companies representing approximately 4,000 units. The ROSS Companies, in my opinion, was a top quartile performer during the downturn with respect to: willingness to work with their equity partner through challenging situations, transparency, loyalty and reporting. I continue to invest with the ROSS Companies and look forward to working with them throughout my career.
