Outdoor Movies in DC Near Your Affordable Apartment
June 20, 2019
There’s nothing better than cuddling up with a blanket and a movie on a rainy day. On a sunny one, try a movie at one of these outdoor Washington DC locations near our affordable apartments.
On the Potomac
The National Harbor is already a hotspot for a night out on the town. Grab some dinner and then find your seats—the Potomac provides the most beautiful backdrop for an outdoor movie screening this summer. There are two nights of showings each week during the summer season, which lasts from May to September. On Thursdays at seven o’clock, date night films will be featured. Looking for more of a family affair? Sundays at 6 p.m., movies like Cars 3, How to Train Your Dragon, and The Incredibleswill hit the big screen. Click here to check out the rest of the summer schedule.
Another venue with a Potomac view is the Georgetown Waterfront Park. The theme for this year’s movie selection is “Out of Office,” making this your go-to place for vacation and destination films. The lineup will start with Under the Tuscan Sun on July 9, and concludes with Eat Pray Love on August 6.
Union Market’s Drive-In
Time travel back to the era of poodle skirts and malted milkshakes with a trip to this drive-in movie experience. On the first Friday of each month from spring to fall, reserve a parking spot for only $15. Looking to save even bigger? Ground seating is free for walk-ups! Grab a friend and some popcorn and settle in for a pleasant outdoor evening.
Whether in a car with the windows down, sitting on a bench, or lounging on a blanket, a nighttime movie is a great way to enjoy the summer air. These locations (and more) are easy to get to from our affordable ROSS apartments. Take a tour today to see just how close you can be!
