November 19, 2015
It’s not even December and the media is already bombarding us with winter holiday advertisements. As a result, Thanksgiving Day begins to get overshadowed by the day to get all of your holiday shopping completed. The day more commonly known as – Black Friday.
However, for the residents of ROSS’ Silver Spring, Maryland, apartments, Thanksgiving will be receiving all of the recognition and celebration it rightfully deserves at this year’s Montgomery County Thanksgiving Parade.
The parade will take place Saturday, November 21, in Downtown Silver Spring on Georgia Avenue, spanning from Ellsworth Drive to Silver Spring Avenue, starting at 10:00 a.m.
Here are three thrilling reasons the residents of ROSS’ apartments for rent in Montgomery County, MD, will want to float on down to the Thanksgiving Parade!
- Floats – Among the most crucial elements of a successful Thanksgiving Parade are its floats; and boy, do you viewers have a few spectacular ones to look forward to, including a penguin, a turkey and a massive dinosaur, just to name a few.
- Holiday Selfies – “New this year on Veterans Plaza is a place to take your family holiday photos. Right next to the ice rink, you can take your photo with “Frozen’s” inflatable Elsa, a 10-foot tall turkey, or with Hanukkah or Christmas décor. Fabulous parade selfies marked with the hashtag #MoCoThanksParade will be broadcast on the screen at Ellsworth and Fenton on the parade route.”
- Performances – “Emcee ABC 7 Meteorologist Brian van de Graaff will introduce glittering floats, a wide variety of high school, college, and professional marching bands; beauty queens; clowns; fire engines; and performing dog and rescue animal groups.”
With a parade line-up that consists of over 100 units, every moment spent at the Montgomery County Thanksgiving Parade with friends and family will be unforgettable.
